The Sorrow Songs

I was invited to get involved with this project by the talented songwriter Angeline Morrison. Her aim was to tell the stories of the Black British population who have been on these islands over a millennia. The songs are written in the British folk style. On release in 2022 it won Guardian's album of the year. I composed and performed the banjo and guitar parts for the album. I'm very proud to be a part of this project. We have performed on the main stages of some of the biggest folk festivals here in the United Kingdom.
